Lesson plan for grades K-2
- Story- Prince's Unwelcome Disguise: The trials of a Pup Without a Home, the story is about a puppy who loses his family and home. The story introduces young students to the difficulties of homelessness and invites them to respond with empathy and compassion.
- Handouts: Coloring Page and Certificates of Appreciation
- Student Activities: Students listen to six segments of a story about a dog who becomes homeless, discussions and questions are at the end of each segment. A coloring page is passed out and colored during certain parts of the story. When the story is completed Certificates of Appreciation is passed out.
